This follows allegations of ethical breaches linked to their treatment of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. Initial information has been based on media reports, and official documents are awaited for definitive action. Reports suggest these doctors might be from the Police General Hospital. The ethics committee of the Medical Council found discrepancies between the medical certificates they issued and Thaksin's actual health condition. While their names remain undisclosed, the link to the Police General Hospital remains a topic of speculation. “If confirmed that these doctors committed offenses, they could face disciplinary action and punishment, given their status as police officers,” stated Pol Gen Kitrat. Additionally, the possibility of criminal charges looms if formal complaints are filed against them. Thaksin, who returned to Thailand in August 2023 after over 10 years abroad, was sentenced to eight years for corruption and abuse of power. This sentence was subsequently reduced to a year by a royal pardon. Upon arrival, instead of prison, Thaksin was moved to a VVIP room at the Police General Hospital, citing health reasons. His extended stay prompted allegations of special treatment and a suspected backdoor deal. This development raises concerns over integrity and transparency within Thailand’s medical and justice systems. Accident Man Found Dead in Pond After Night Fishing Trip in Tak Province
Picture courtesy of Matichon. A 56-year-old man who went missing overnight was found dead the following morning in a pond near his home in Mae Sot district, Tak province. Police from Mae Sot Police Station received a report at approximately 10:00 on 8 May from local residents who had discovered a body floating in a pond located in Ban Nuea, behind Wat Boonyawat Temple in Mae Sot Subdistrict. Rescue workers from the Pitakkarn Mae Sot Unit were immediately dispatched to the scene. The location was at the end of a narrow road, surrounded by tall grass and reeds. Upon arrival, officials found a group of villagers gathered around the pond, where the body of a man was seen floating face-up in the water. On the bank was a metal rod commonly used for electrofishing, and a blue nylon mesh bag for collecting fish. Police permitted rescue workers to retrieve the body, which was identified as Mr Sarawut a 56-year-old electrician from the local area. He reportedly suffered from several chronic illnesses, including diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). He had previously been treated in intensive care but had since resumed a normal lifestyle. According to police investigations, Mr Sarawut had informed his wife around 20:00 on 7 May that he was going out to collect morning glory, a common local vegetable. His wife and daughter remained at home. When he failed to return by morning, his daughter reported his disappearance to police. Authorities believe his death may have been caused either by accidental electrocution or by complications from his underlying health conditions. Crime Teen Caught With Gun and Ammunition After Acting Suspicious Near Bangkok Housing Estate
Picture courtesy of Khaosod. A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in northern Bangkok after police discovered a blank-firing gun and live ammunition in his bag during a routine patrol. The arrest took place at approximately 04:00 on 9 May, near a housing estate in Soi Wat Siriphong Thammanimit, Sukhaphiban 5 Road, Tha Raeng subdistrict, Bang Khen district. Officers from Bang Khen Police Station had been conducting routine patrols in the area when they noticed a young male on a motorcycle behaving suspiciously. Upon stopping and searching him, officers found a GLOCK 19 blank gun chambered for .380 ammunition with four live rounds hidden in his shoulder bag. The suspect, identified only as “Kew” due to his age, was immediately taken into custody. During questioning, the teenager admitted the firearm was in his possession and claimed he had taken it from a rival youth during a previous altercation. He said he kept it for self-defence in case of a future attack. Police promptly informed the boy’s parents of his arrest and escorted him, along with the confiscated weapon and ammunition, to Bang Khen Police Station. International Victory Day by WW2 Allies Over The Defeat Axis Powers in Europe
If you re-read my post, I am not beating up on the Americans for the deaths in WW2 -- but for all the deaths that followed in their many, many undeclared wars all over the planet. It seems, that specifically the USA has not learned the lesson of WW2, literally killing millions since then (the majority civilians). Now they are preaching to the world as if they are morality and wisdom incarnated, while they have a president implementing the Nazi playbook action for action just as I write this. Just today the news that Trump wants to suspend the habeas corpus; we just need to wait what will be their version of the "invasion of Poland": Greenland, Panama, Canada, Gaza... and finally, at the moment, the USA is "just" trying to deport people -- as did Nazi Germany in the beginning, even though neither the UK nor the USA wanted the Jews -- but this is already a slippery slope: will their version of concentration camps be in Guantanamo Cuba, Cecot El Salvador or a more exotic place like Lybia? I believe the world has learned their lessons, but no American has the right to say a single word: right now, they are literally the bad guys.
