It's not so much what you can live on, it's what you spend.

 

I could live on less but I also spend money on international schooling, golf, holidays, insurances, car, after school activities, eating out.

 

My average over the last 7 years has been Baht 130,000 per month, and that will just keep increasing as school fees increase, airfares etc.

 

Edit: and I don't have rent to pay, only yearly condo maintenance fees.
