Popular Post dotpoom
I live in Ban Chang right on and overlooking the beach. Tons of rubbish wash up daily and is cleared up daily. This is an everyday routine. No answer to it really....except the whole world get litter conscience?

Popular Post TGIR
This is what it looked like a year before the Tsunami with the exception of maybe ten tourist boats and may be fifty or sixty tourists on the beach. No-one selling anything and lots of room to wander around. They should re-think the b.s. that they are doing with China. There isn't enough money in the world worth wrecking this beautiful country for.

Box fighter
If everybody who goes to Thailand picks up their litter and picks up a little bit on the beaches then Thailand would be wonderful again or Thais could employ litter Marshall’s already the deck chair operators are responsible for their patch on the beaches on the whole I find the streets of Thailand very clean but now the beaches are alone maybe much plastic and debris will wash up on the beaches the story of the pilot whale dying of 8 kg in its stomach is enough to put an advert out all best the poor creature died for it but it’s worldwide not just thai so everybody pull together before the beautiful places are gone forever

overherebc
And when it does re-open just allow boats to go in go around the bay, no stopping, no dropping anchors just in and back out again.

There's no problem with them staying in a while, but no one on the beach, like they used to do, but they would have to use permanent moorings instead of dropping an anchor. Limit the number of moorings and only allow a boat in if a mooring is free.

Fully agree no-one on the beach and strict control of mooring etc. Not sure about the proposed access from the rear of the beach either. 1000's plus tourists tramping up and down the same pathway every day won't take long to do a lot of damage including the inevitable plastic/foam lunch boxes/water bottles dropped everywhere along the way. Lots of control needed.

Danny Boyle, that actually made the film is British, and Alex Garland, the author is also British. Had Danny used Ewan McGregor, as he should have, it would have been all three main characters in the making of the film. being British. Unfortunately, allowing Leonardo to be the main character ruined the entire premise of the book, and the film was rightly a bit of a disaster.
