Erez “Eric” Barzillay is a very busy man. Besides being a father of 4 he has several condominium projects he’s developing in Bangkok along with a residential development in Hua Hin called Sea Breeze Villas.

 

Being a “hands on” developer means Erez makes the commute between Bangkok and Hua Hin on a weekly basis.

 

Originally from Israel and then New York, Erez visited Thailand  for the first time in 1998. During his holiday he fell in love with the country and its people and decided to make the kingdom his home. He first settled down in Hua Hin. Knowing that the King’s primary residence was Hua Hin he knew that the town would stay respectful to him and not allow some of the seedier elements that Thailand is known for to encroach. He also liked the beach feel and knew it would be a great place to retire.

 

Also, being a New York City kid he liked the idea that Bangkok was just two and a half hours away by car.

 

Erez first got into real estate back in New York where he owned several buildings. Wanting something to do and noticing the beginning momentum of a real estate boom in Hua Hin Erez set about finding land for a development. In those days available land was plentiful and it wasn’t too difficult to find the perfect parcel he was looking for. In 2006 he bought eight rai of land just 500 metres from the beach and 3 kilometres from the city. He then set upon designing the houses for new his development named Sea Breeze.

 

Erez sub-divided the land into 16 plots and offers finished houses from 5 to 30 million baht depending on house style and plot size.

 

Erez’s homeowners are a mix from Holland, France, Australia and Thailand. Thai superstar Cris Horwang purchased  a custom built home from Erez.

 

They say you should love what you do an Erez has taken this to heart. He receives great joy in taking an empty piece of land, creating a magnificent structure and then seeing the smile on the owner’s face as their home is completed and handed over. His satisfaction is knowing he has done good work and that he is appreciated.

 

Sea Breeze has benefited from the growth around it with the ocean front Sea Pine Golf Course just 5 minutes away and the Banyan Resort a few minutes closer. The 5 billion baht Blu Port shopping mall is just down the road and the village of Khao Takiab is becoming a destination in its own right with its great beaches, resorts and restaurants.

 

When asked what does he like to do in his spare time, Erez was quick to answer, “I always devote my spare time to my kids, family is always first”.
