Hi, has anyone ever requested a refund and can share their experience on how long this took?

 

We submitted my wife's application online back in January. A couple of days later, I noticed an error on the application, so had to resubmit the application again, pay the full fee and NHS fee again. I went through the correct process in obtaining a refund for the visa fee, which we have received, but have not yet been refunded the NHS fee.

 

A decision was made on her visa on the 29/04/18 and she arrived in the UK on the 07/05/18, and if you believe what they say on the .gov website, it can take 6 weeks for the refund to be made from the date a decision is made on the application. We are now at week 7.

 

I have now engaged the services of my local MP.

Finally!! 5 months after requesting a refund and 8.5 weeks after what the .gov.uk website says should only take a maximum of 6 weeks, we received a refund.
