Final suspect arrested in horrific case of gang-rape of drugged 8-year-old girl

The last fugitive in a heinous crime, in which an eight-year-old girl was lured from her home, force fed with methamphetamine pills and gang-raped by three men from the same neighbourhood, before they dumped her unconscious at a roadside spot in Chanthaburi’s Kaeng Hang Maeo district last December, has been taken into police custody.

 

Suspect Jeerasak Sukkhe, 23, was arrested at 4pm on Monday in front of a Chanthaburi hospital.

 

Jeerasak was accused of the crime, which took place on December 18, when he and two others – Chatree Hanchana and Surachet Jomkhamsing – had allegedly lured the girl with the promise of taking her to visit an attraction. 

 

However, they instead took the eight-year-old to Chatree’s house, where they allegedly force fed her with meth pills and raped her until she passed out, before leaving her in an unconscious state by the roadside in Kaeng Hang Maeo district.

 

Police had previously arrested Chatree and Surachet, but capturing Jeerasak proved elusive until he was apprehended on Monday. 

 

While admitting to having been at Chatree’s house on the day of the crime, he claimed he had not raped the girl because the other two had contacted him by phone after the rape session, seeking his help in disposing of the unconscious youngster somewhere, police said. 

 

However, police did not believe his story and filed charges as per the Chanthaburi Court-issued warrant issued against him: conspiring with others to rape a girl under 13 and conspiring with others to molest a girl under 15 by using threat and force as the girl was in no state to defend herself; and conspiring to take away a girl under 15 for lewd acts.

I'll never understand how some "people" can do such heinous acts against a fellow human being - let alone a child. 

"Horrific" is very unfortunately getting to be an overused word in the headlines here.

 

You'd think it would be reserved for only the most exceptionally bad cases, of which this is certainly one. But these days, here in Thailand, it also seems that something "horrific" is happening / being reported pretty much every day.

i dont know much about drugs but maybe she will not remember any of it and go on to have a happy descent life.

couldn't they hang them by the balls in the town square?

Well these are mainly primitives who only just fell out of their tree and unfortunately they are allowed to breed. 

Just on Monday Thailand pulled out the deadly needle .please mr./mrs. judge can the needle be used for these three .please please please

In Thai prisons, it's usually 40 plus convicts to a room and just like in the west, child molesters and rapist are considered to be the lowest of the low.

No doubt the guards will inform others of his crime.

He wont have a good time.

Lets keep the death penalty going and see how these crimes drop in a year, then throw the facts in Amnesty Internationals face, if they don't, still keep them there, eventually a lot of scum of the earth will be rid of !

I don't think that would make a whit of difference in terms of prevention/deterrence.

 

That presumes that the average Thai THINKS AND CONTEMPLATES before they go out to do whatever HORRIFIC thing they're planning for the day. And the reality is, they simply don't. They just act on emotion and impulse and rage or whatever....

 

The idea of being deterred by the CONSEQUENCES of an action just doesn't seem to apply here, at least in the violence crime part of the world. At least, that's my two cents perception of it.

Simply heartbreaking and sick. This poor child will carry this memory for the rest of her life. This story brought me to tears. I find no consolation in the retribution that the offenders will likely receive in prison. Such heartless cruelty is beyond comprehension.
