Fiancee Visa

Featured Replies

I have just checked on the ukvak website to track our application, this is what it said!

The passport has been received from British Embassy; please collect the passport from the UK Visa Application Centre where it was submitted.

My Fiancée telephoned ukvak and was asked to pick up her passport tomorrow; they could not tell her if the application was successful or not.

It has only been four days and this worries me, we have been together a year and we sent three folders of supporting information with application. Maybe we are both worrying over nothing, but it is hard not to fear the worst.

If visa has failed I know that we can appeal can someone advise how to do this?

Moreover, how long do we have to wait before we can put in a second application?

Regards

Rob

It is quite feasible that the visa has been granted, but you won't know until you collect the passport from the visa application centre. If it has been refused, enclosed with the documents should be an appeal form which has to be submitted to either the embassy or the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal in Loughborough within 28 days of the decision. You can make a second application at any time.

Scouse.

Whilst theoretically possible, it is extremely unlikely that a settlement visa would be refused without an interview; especially an application as well prepared as yours. I've never heard of one, has anyone else?

I think she's got it.

BTW, as the result of an application is confidential, passports etc. are returned to the VAC in sealed packages. It is not that the VAC staff won't tell you the result, they can't; because they don't know themselves.

Thanks guys, I sure hope she has got it, I wont know for sure untill about 08:30 UK time, you words however have given me some much needed encouragement.

I will post as soon as I find out!

Rob

Hi Fracair,

As one of those who has followed your progress with this from the start i have to say i too think congratulations are in order . You submitted a lot of info with your application and for them to refuse without interview seems very very unlikely.

I expect you'll be posting the good news very soon.

good news I expect, fingers crossed, good luck :o
