Actually anybody who lives here and gets around can observe Pattaya is 30 to 50 percent Arab, Indian and Iranian.

No kidding, there has been a major shift from British, American, Swiss, German, French, etc., retirees in favour of Indians, Pakistanis, Arabs and Africans over the past 10 years. I blame the ever changing visa situation, with currency exchange rates, possibly, playing a role too.

Must have been a real long time ago. Thirty year ago bars on walking street had signs posted in their bars that read
  No Dogs or Arabs allowed
 When I first came to Thailand there were many stories of one Arab  hiring a girl but when she was taken to the room there were numerous men there who would gang rape her and sodomise her. They were hated by many Thais back then.

About 25 years ago .used to stay in a condo in Bkk.one evening there was massive banging on my door.a girl had gone back to a room with a muslim guy .when she got there there were 3 others waiting to share her. She ran and banged on my door .anyway i took her in .she stayed until i could get her away. My girlfriend helped as she turned up a short time later.so no hanky panky from me [emoji4]

I used to go to a gym in that street ... its off Walking Street ... early mornings and was a number of times pestered by aggressive ladyboys. One insisted I had promised to "go with her today". My ignoring and walking faster away resulted in "her" getting very threatening. Had very aggresive looks and moves towards me, from one on another occasion when I totally ignored her saying hello.  These lads dont look drunk after an all night bender.  One seems eventually to have had enough.

Back in the day, Lucky Luke's bar in Nana Plaza had one of these signs and I loved it, my buddy owned it. The other places had no signs but as soon as Arabs entered they were escorted out if they were not caught first by the people at the door.
