The US dollar is sinking like a rock
4.3% is 3 months treasury bills - - - and my 800,000 +++++ is in the bank here for over 20 years. I live here too and whenever the rates are good, I bring more money here. Any investments here, as in farmland etc are in my wife's name and she has done terrific with that which has the added benefit of the family making money farming the land for free while my wife has done very well as land prices have increased. And my investments in the USA vary from some dividend oriented funds that have been yielding 14% + and downward from there to index funds as well... I am fairly well diversified and the 800,000 Thai baht in the bank is a very small portion. As I am getting older, I am somewhat more conservative, as the mood strikes - funds are mostly easily moved around, but the older I get, the more conservative I have been. Sometimes I even do a little day trading which is mostly gambling and I keep it limited. Diversification helps me sleep easy... though a sleep aid would be nice too. -

Dentists in Pattaya.
Just tell them no BP check...tell them what it was when you checked it. For dentistry, I've only used BK H Pattaya and BK H Khon Kaen. Very high quality for the services I've had, including regular 6-month check-ups, cleaning, X-rays, fillings, and an implant. The price is very reasonable for what you are getting. NOS not available at BK H P dental department, fyi. Also, they provide all the paperwork and receipts for easy insurance filing. -

Report Bangkok Building Collapse Blamed on Design Flaws, Says PM
How do you know there was substandard steel used at the Project? Where were the test results published? Do not confuse rumour or suspected issues with fact. The article clearly states "Contrary to earlier reports suggesting substandard materials, the study confirmed that the steel and concrete used met necessary standards. " what knowledge do you have of the high speed train project to make any statements that the same "substandard steel" was used? I know for a fact that the reinforcing steel for the thai high speed rail contract by the same construction company was tested and all found to be within standards. Samples were taken and tested very shortly after the collapse. Credit to the Thai companies who acted quickly to alleviate any concerns. Unless you have facts, do not create fiction out of something you do not know. -
