It seems much fortune has been present in this rescue. The decision to pull them out when they did, appears to have been an extremely well timed one. With the incredible international support and all

  • I heard Harrison Ford will play the role of the 11 year old kid.

The Hollywood version will have all American heroes saving the boys, all other nationalities will be forgotten.

A significant number of completely off topic posts and replies have been removed.

I have been very tolerant  and allowed a large number to remain talking about a possible movie, when in reality every single one of those was off topic too. I will accept no more though.

I fail to see how water pumps failing degenerated into a discussion about Trump!

Had I taken everything down that I probably should, there would be very little left.

Enough is enough. Stay on the topic, which is the pumps failed shortly after the last person was rescued.
Next off topic or movie comment gets suspended.

You people have totally hijacked this thread.

I'd be interested to know more of the technical details of the pumping.  Some videos show as many as 7 or 8 hoses, though not terribly large.  How far into the cave did they put them, etc.?

RE - water pumps failed just after last boy escaped

Since its written in plural means more than one and maybe all. Strange if they where serie connected….if so and in that case it might have been the fuse...??...:shock1:

Good work... thanks for not removing the movie teaser posted by Darcula though, "The 13".

Tom Hanks as Elon Musk, Ken Watanabe as coach - they can't be serious it's not out till Christmas?

What?! You mention Australian actors but you don't mention Hugh Jackman or Mel Gibson?

By the way Mel Gibson looks probably old enough by now to play the 70-year old diver.

OOPs, a terrible oversight to miss Hugh. I like Mel, didn't think about him, but don't see him cast in this type movie. ?

Probably because it couldn't have been done without us.

Aw, what about Arnie and Stallone?

Deleted by before a I get banned. I'm sorry darksidedog. I just read your message.

Diesel pumps need regular servicing after every fifty hours or so running time. Wonder if they were. Just saying.
