Thai boys give a wave to the world in first video since their rescue

CHIANG RAI, Thailand (Reuters) - The first video of the Thai boys rescued from a flooded cave after 17 days was released on Wednesday, showing them smiling and waving from their hospital beds, looking thin but fine after an ordeal that has gripped the world.

GLOBAL SUPPORT poured in resulting in the successful mission that rescued 12 boys and their coach from the Tham Luang cave in Chiang Rai, an effort in which Thailand’s hand was strengthened by the help of many foreign teams.

MAE SAI, Thailand (Reuters) - A cave complex in Thailand where 12 schoolboys and their soccer coach were trapped for more than two weeks before they were safely brought out will be turned into a museum to showcase the rescue, the head of the operation said on Wednesday.
