meatjoy
It has been 3 weeks since the packet 3 was mailed from Bangkok to Chiang Rai, so I'm assuming it has been lost in the mail. I was afraid this was going to happen because she has had a lot of trouble with her mail lately. What is the best option at this point? I'm afraid if they resend it, it will just get lost again. Can she go to Bangkok and pick it up herself? And what about packet 4? I have no faith in the mail delivery. Do you have any advice how we should handle this? I'd really appreciate any help... ---Chris

bdenner
Hire a Post Office Box - Mine cost me 150Baht per annum and 200Baht deposit on the key. Haven't had any mail (both international and domestic) go missing since I started using the service some 4 months ago.
Resonant
Here are the forms:Immigrant Visa Application Instructions TH Thank you for the response. So all the forms she needs can be downloaded? Thanks again, Chris An American friend of mine also had his Packet 3 "lost in the post". He then downloaded the forms from the Internet, but at the BNH hospital in Bangkok he was told the medical forms are the wrong forms. Sorry I don't know the details, but it might be worth a check. Fortuately the American embassy is close to the BNH and he was able to pick up a full Packet 3 and be back at the hospital within the hour. Good luck. ding
There might be someone at visajourney*dot*com that has some experience with specific concerns like this. If the PO Box is secure, then it must be in the delivery route that mail falls in the klong. Might be a good idea, or DHL.
