So they caught a few people who come from further distances

and the rest from neighboring countries ...who if sent home tomorrow ...

after tomorrow will be back or replaced by colleagues from the same village !

Great job

Guess there is enough scum and filth around on visas.
They have just enough money to organize it somehow.
On the other side there are enough poor old chaps who stranded here without money even to get back home.
Since it's more difficult to stay on countless tourist visas back to back, limited land border crossings for 30 day periods and so on, plenty of them may be on overstays. Are they "the scum of the earth" because of this ?

Sarcasm emoji...sarcasm emoji..sarcasm emoji...where the hell is that sarcasm emoji..

Next thing would be to stop the business of those Visa agents that provide Retirement Visas "without necessary funds"!

But then, what when even THAI VISA accepts ads from these agents...?

What retirement ? Dudes in theur 30's

''Or the only one that survived a boat trip''.  I'm sorry, but that boat incident was a tragedy, and I don't wish to be part of any jokes about it.

Is it the tourist police's job to round up overstayers?

Thought it may be to look after the welfare of tourists and deal with crimes committed against tourists.

Silly me.

Silly you yes as most of us in Thailand and in our home countries applaud the police ( regardless of their names)   when they catch overstayers. But I know if it is thailand you and a group will always complain and criticize. Too bad really.

I've never overstayed even one day in any country in my now almost 7 year journey
but I would like to know what these countries are in which people cheer and applaud
if someone gets caught on overstay ... so that I can avoid such societies in the future
