Mystery surrounds the death of a 46 year old Canadian national who was found by fishermen floating in the sea at Ao Udom, Laem Chabang, Chonburi early this morning (Wednesday).

The victim was wearing trousers and shoes.

Pol Capt Somkit Kaensa of the Laem Chabang police responded with Sawang Pratheep Sri Racha rescue services.

The corpse was floating 4 kilometers offshore and was assessed as having been dead for four days at least.

The man was identified as Mr Jason William. Daily News did not report how the identification was made.

Mr William was wearing black trousers and black and red canvas shoes.

There were no injuries on the body.

There were two tattoos on the body - a skull on the left wrist and a squid on the right shoulder.

Laem Chabang station chief Pol Col Pricha Somsathan said it was not yet possible to say how the victim died though drowning looks likely.

The embassy have been informed and relatives are being contacted.

Appears that he was killed and then thrown into the sea off a boat.

Unless he drifted 4 K's out , which is quite probably in four days

Or a Wallet found in his back pocket of his black trousers with his Drivers License in it.

God all the ''Junior Detective's'' are at it again......

Everything is a mystery until you do an autopsy.

The only thing that is not a mystery is how unprofessional and undignified the body was handled.

He had canvas shoes on which is akin to deck shoes & the tattoos seem mariner so he could of been on a friends boat or helping  somebody else out & fell overboard,as was said no injuries, there has been bad boating weather lately, maybe went seafishing

Wouldn't someone have reported a "man overboard" after 4 days?
