BANGKOK — Soldiers have detained two women without charge after searching their homes for T-shirts they had purchased, and one remained unreachable Friday, a civil rights group said.

It’s unclear why the soldiers targeted the pair, though their families said the men searched the women’s homes for black T-shirts they had recently bought online, according to Sorawut Wongsaranon of Thai Lawyer for Human Rights.

Surangkanang was then reportedly blindfolded :shock1:and taken for questioning at the 11th Army Circle base, which has been converted into a special prison. :shock1:

She was released Thursday night along with the phones, Sorawut said, but the other woman – named only as Wannapha – remains missing. :shock1:

Red and white are a motif used by underground republican activists. :shock1:Sorawut said he’s not aware of any connection between the movement and the two women. :shock1:

Nice that the military is protecting the county in this way. Their loyal subjects must be proud.

I am sure it will get down to protecting the country from foreigners like me eventually!

Also I hope that I am smart enough to be one year early to leave, then one day late!

It is CLEARLY becoming a 'Police State'...........Years ago Russia got rid of 'Comminism'...

If you look around 'Here' then you can see where it went..............

'WOMEN' hauled off to an Army Detention Center because of 'Shirts'...... No wonder those people of 'authority' were not available for comment......

Something 'SIMILAR' happened to more than a hundred 'School Girls' in Africa a few years ago (I don't remember 'shirts' being involved that time)..........

Interesting but compared to red shirts murdered, disappeared orotherwise silenced in the past, maybe this is just the start of things to come.

Thank goodness a 'Civil Rights Group' is monitoring this..... But not sure even them.... can do any good..... But at least they will create foreign publicity.........

Damn right. From now on I will only leave the house wearing boxers with  British flag , a string vest , multi colored flip flops and carrying a big umbrella. ( I burn easily )

Better safe than sorry.

Make sure you have no Polish, Peruvian or Indonesian flag! ?
