You know you can't buy the land as a foreigner and a bank will only think about a loan based on the land value. In general foreigners don't get Thai bank loans, maybe if you have a Work Permit or a Thai guarantor.

You can peruse listings using filters. hithere Posted September 8, 2018 Author Posted September 8, 2018 No work permit, i know i cant own land here, married to a Thai for years, been living in Thailand for some years, then we went to Europe for 6 years now we are back in Phuket, work offshore, i remember in around 2003 a Farang got a deal with a house owner to rent/buy the house over 3 years. But i don't know if this can work now in 2018

But an 'iron clad' contract would be needed and from my legal experiences here in Thailand it's hard to enforce contacts. Best of luck.
