Have you done any research at all ?  You know you can't buy the land as a foreigner and a bank will only think about a loan based on the land value. In general foreigners don't get Thai bank loans, maybe if you have a Work Permit or a Thai guarantor.

One of the news sources here has teamed up with a good property database that shows location on google maps of various properties along with the property listing itself.  You can peruse listings using filters.  Not sure how often it gets updated, but seems better than most I have seen.    https://property.thethaiger.com

In regards to legalities, LIK above brings up some good points you need to work out.

No work permit, i know i cant own land here, married to a Thai for years, been living in Thailand for some years, then we went to Europe for 6 years now we are back in Phuket, work offshore, i remember in around 2003 a Farang got a deal with a house owner to rent/buy the house over 3 years. But i don't know if this can work now in 2018

No doubt some owner desperate to sell would cut a rent/payment buy deal.  But an 'iron clad' contract would be needed and from my legal experiences here in Thailand it's hard to enforce contacts.   Best of luck.
