webfact
PM gives talk on civil servant development BANGKOK, 11September 2018 (NNT) - Thailand's Prime Minister has urged government officials to refrain from inciting social conflict and focus on solving issues of public concern. He encouraged state agencies to organize talks between civil servants and community leaders to foster understanding. Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha chaired a seminar, which included the signing of a memorandum between the Office of the Civil Service Commission and nine other agencies to create mechanisms for implementing major national policies and to support personnel transfers between different agencies. In a speech, the premier asked attendees to take part in mobilizing the national strategy towards the goal of stability, prosperity and sustainability. In doing so, government officials must improve themselves to become quality civil servants, who address public issues without fueling social conflict or resisting government policy. Those at the management level must be open to change, create a familial work environment and adhere to ethical principles. He also instructed agencies to organize workshops that serve as a forum between government officials, community leaders and the general public to resolve disputes. -- nnt 2018-09-11 1

In a recent article he merely "threatened to sue" the media, instead of bellowing his typical bulged-eyes ultimatum that he will imprison anyone who reports any unfavorable news stories about him or his regime. Such blasphemy is illegal BTW, courtesy of a previous edict from himself. ? I'm not really sure why he's trying to present himself as a mere mortal before the election since, as we all know—no matter who runs against him and no matter how many people vote against him—there is only one possible outcome. 3

Although the word starting with a Big C near the end of the road should have read Coup. But as the Thai bureaucracy does in general collaborate with military coups (even see civil service strike after a coup?), I can understand the lack of accuracy.
