I'm in the market for a Dell 24" tft......but where.......

Not in Thailand, at least. If it were sold here, it would cost a *lot*. The BenQ 24" which is similar costs way too much here, but is fairly cheap in the US.

Late last year, the Dells were going for a little over $500 each in the US.

Strange that I saw one in Chinatown, at Sapahn Lek (metal bridge) where they sell console stuff. They were using it with an XBox 360.

The difficulties with Dells are their poor contrast ratio. While 500:1 is fine for an office environment, you may want to look at an LG with a 1400 or 2000:1 contrast ration and 2-5ms response time if you want to use it for multimedia purposes.

Only 24" LCDs I could find are the HP ones sold by shop4thai

Bloody expensive as well but I am very pleased with it. Took around 2 weeks to get it once ordered

The Dell Thailand website gives a phone number (just select country=Thailand from the main Dell website if you want). The sales office seems to actually be run out of Malaysia, and the Dell Malaysia website has more product information. It seems like the responsiveness may vary depending on what sales person you get connected with, but we were able to get some quotes for a desktop machine and LCD via email and then complete the purchase via wire transfer, with equipment delivered to our door. Our price seemed very close to the Malaysian website price, and yes LCDs seem more expensive than in the US.
