Seeing double! Teachers at Trang school have 20 sets of twins to deal with!

Sanook reported that a popular primary school in Trang in Thailand's south has 20 sets of twins in its classes from kindergarten 2 to primary 6.

 

In the past they have had as many as 28 pairs in some years between 2009 and this year. That is the most of any school in the area.

 

The school  - Anuban Trang in the downtown area - is very proud of its twins often taking them out as a select group to special functions like food contests and underwater weddings. 

 

The school has no policy to separate the twins in classes - some end up together. 

 

The school has 1,950 pupils and 100 teachers and many parents want their children to study there after it won awards.

 

The twins are boy/boy, girl/girl and boy/girl - in the past they have even had triplets. 

 

It was not reported by Sanook how many of the twins have "married" each other - a relatively common tradition in Thailand to ward off bad karma.

Actually pretty high if the mother uses Clomiphene and gonadotropins , two fertility drugs that enhance the chances of rearing anything from twins on up.
