How on earth do you Diet in Thailand ?
I recently inspected our kitchen - and I was horrified. I thought gf is cooking reasonable food. How wrong I was!!! Yeah, I noticed already how reluctant she is to buy fruit (I have never known a Thai who eats fruit), but never mind, I buy and eat it, no cooking required. The vast amounts of rice she serves with every meal end up in the toilet bowl (secretly, of course). But what I found in the kitchen...pounds of sugar, salt and MSG - none of that cr@p I have ever bought in my life. This ends up on my dinner plate! Has anybody ever had success teaching an adult Thai the most basic things about healthy nutrition? How?? I can't cook, and I guess if I tried it it would ruin the relationship. Like all Thais, she drinks basically only water, so that's good. And she doesn't buy sweet things, so that's very good. -

Tim Walz: The Unexpected Strength Behind Harris’s VP Pick
I have never watched much of the View - I don't think it's in my channels when in Australia or here. What I have seen I found to be a reasonable discussion - people saying what they felt - I got a bit bored and didn't concur with all they said but they seemed like reasonable people. To me shows like the 5 seems horribly manufactured - I doubt the sincerity of some of them and if they are sincere then they are not nice people. No problem if Republican or Democrat - it's about how you go about making the case in my opinion. -

Trump Attempts to Delay Sentencing in Hush Money Case
We just may have our wish granted, the judge just delayed sentencing until after the election.in my humble opinion the judge seems to be leaning towards jail time that will also help keeping his mouth shut after he loses the election……good and better!! That’s a win win!! -

Tim Walz: The Unexpected Strength Behind Harris’s VP Pick
Trump probably should seeing as he's free-falling, but doubt he would. Kamala and the Dems are playing it smart, keeping the message and contrast consistent, presenting positive and young as a contest to the old and cranky DJT. When you've got the lead, you play conservatively in most sports, like politics. -

How on earth do you Diet in Thailand ?
No, wrong. Watch the first couple of minutes of the video @BigStarjust posted. Or watch the obesity lectures of Jason Fung (mutch more detailed), I think he posted the link, but easy enough to google them anyway -

Tim Walz: The Unexpected Strength Behind Harris’s VP Pick
Okay, so just generalized dislike for progressives, which you perceive as being hypocritical. For reasons you haven't explained or provided examples of, but never mind, separate discussion. Like your hypocrisy in pretending your posts weren't saying negative things about Kamala? -

Latest developments and discussion of recent events in the Ukraine War
IMO the west has sold to Ukraine a serious miscalculation with regard to Putin; we the public, like Ukraine, seem to be under the impression Putin will stop if the war becomes too costly- I think this is wrong. It’s not, as some would argue, a war motivated by Putin’s ideology. It’s not, as others would argue, a war motivated by resources or money. The Kremlin has made a strategic decision to fight the war until it wins, at any cost. They view the war as a national security necessity. Putin is and has always been a national security hawk. He sees things through the eyes of a KGB agent- he is incredibly calculating - an evil genous as it were. And, the west actually understands this. There is no miscalculation in western capitals; they know what Putin is doing and why he is doing it. And so we are successfully exploiting Russia’s national security concerns by using dripfed equipment to batter the Russian armed forces. If the Russian army wins (which I suspect it will), it will be at far lesser strength than before the war. This weakens Russia and allows the US in particular to focus all of its efforts on the real threat to a free society which is of course the sleeping giant - China. My Kissinger point as it were explained in context. Ukraine’s gamble against Russia risks becoming a blunder https://thehill.com/policy/defense/4862260-ukraine-advance-kursk-scrutiny/ George Beebe, director of grand strategy at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, said the Kursk operation was still in its early stages but “looks like it’s heading toward a failure.” “The Russians have not diverted significant numbers of forces from the front lines in Ukraine. If anything, they’ve stepped on the accelerator pedal,” he said. “There seems to be a great deal of skepticism about what this incursion is going to accomplish, and I think growing concerns that it was a blunder.” Russia appears to have accepted the reality of Ukrainian troops in Kursk for now. The Institute for the Study of War assessed this week that “Putin is attempting to preserve the Russian drive on Pokrovsk at the expense of delaying the clearing of Kursk.”
