Company that picks up junk

Featured Replies

We’ve accumulated a lot of ‘junk’ over the years. Some can probably be salvaged and sold by someone and some is just oversized rubbish. Point is, we don’t want any of it as it’s just clutter. We don’t have a pickup truck. Is there a company in Chiang Mai that deals with picking up junk? Thanks!

Lots of companies with warehouses that buy your junk but you need to deliver. I drop off my paper/cardboard and plastic at the one next to Pinkarat School. I don't get more than the price of a large beer, but that's OK with me. I've also dumped metal and old TVs there.

If your junk has any value, leave it overnight next to the road outside your house. I have a feeling that the following morning it won't be there.

You can go by the places that buy your junk and tell them specifically what you have and leave them your number and address. We did this one time, and within about 3 days we began getting calls. A couple of surprises: we were offered 300 Baht for some old shocks from a Honda automobile. 250 Baht for an old mattress that had metal springs. The lady told us that springs are in big demand and that she pays 250 for mattresses with springs. We were offered good money for some old car batteries - I forget how much now, but in all we ended up with enough money for a very nice dinner. Pretty much everything we had was picked up.; old fans, clothes, etc.
