Ever wonder why the long popular fashion among Thai youngsters to join the police/military forces?

They know the long-standing corrupted life security is there for the taking.

I love the fact that in the photo Chaktip gets to display his superiority by sitting in the extra fancy gilt-edged chair . Or is that guilt-edged?

He said that police stations, where officers work most closely with the public, must make sure all services are efficiently provided and executed, as the chief of any unit which fails to deliver a good performance and faces any complaints, will be subject to punishment.

Not the major image or reputation issue. He may want to look into the envelopes passed, the execution of duties out on the streets, and general approach to the public.
