Register A Vehicle

Has anyone bourght a vehicle and registered it on Samui .......when you only had a tourist visa ??

Please help me out with some informations about the process......Im not living on Samui, but I do have an adress.....

Any help will be apriciated, thanks...........Im not on Samui now.

I'm not too sure about the tourist visa part, but you will need photocopies ov a 'Tabien Baan', house book and I.D. card, which must be countersigned by the Thai person who gives you them to say that you(the bike) live at that address. Also, I had to go to 'Immigration' to fill out a form which they looked at and stampedand gave back to me to give to the transportation office. However, I have heard that this may vary with different provinces.

As far as I know you need a non imm o to register a car, but can register a motorbike on a tourist visa. What a Tuk Tuk is classed as I do not know . I assume you are talking about a Tuk Tuk.

Well, I like to know about both......I wonder too, if the tuk tuk is register as a bike or car
