Hello all;

I know this might be a bit off base BUT I want to bring my Philippino friend over to visit. Does she get a 30 day visa on entry> is there any trouble coming over?

she will have a return ticket and be staying less than 30 days.

Thanks

It is covered by an Asean agreement. She should get 30 days on arrival. Sometimes Immigration officers baulk at younger women arriving and give them a lesser stay. Have the lady check it with the airline to be certain.

Thaks DR.

she is 33 not so young and I will be at the Phuket airport to pick her up and she'll have her r/t ticket and my phone number if they need to verify that I will be covering her bills. Someone told me that they sometimes ask for $$$

But i have neveheard of that..

$$$$$ That'd be a bit unlikely ... I hope. Just check with the airline and all will be well. Being on stand by at arrival time complete with phone in hand is a wise idea.

30 days no problem, lots of Filipino here in Thailand and many of them living on 30 day permits. I speak from personal experience on this(my wife), no worries, she'll get 30 days.

I went to the Phillipines with my Thai girlfriend (which is pretty similar) and there wasn't a problem. Didn't ask for money or onward ticket (we didn't have one) or anything. You should be fine.
