Car insurance (urgent)

Featured Replies

Hi, currently on a long weekend trip away and realised the car insurance has expired a few days ago, is there a way I can renew it online (the insurance company aren’t picking up the phone) or any other advice would be appreciated?

Depends which company you are with. Ask Churchill the Dog! Ohhh Yes. (UK joke). Another bit of advice.......check when your insurance expires BEFORE your long weekend.

Never heard of being able to do that.

Are you talking the govt. compulsory or additional 1st/2nd class as I am surprised they have not contacted you to renew it?

How patronising. Not my car or insurance and the details of how this situation arose are besides the point.

You can call the insurance, they will renew.

The OP said that they are not picking up the phone. Probably because it is a long weekend.

Not patronising at all, and sorry if you took it that way. You asked for advice, I gave it to you. Could I suggest that whoever's car and insurance it is check the expiry/renewal date before it actually does next time. Saves a lot of hassle.

Here's an idea, don't drive the car until you will get it insured properly, this way you'll minimize and chance of accidents...

If it isn't your car / insurance, how would you be able to renew it, let the owner do it.

You advice is pointless, it does not help the OP in anyway shape or form.......
