I dont see much respect and concern tor other nationalites and/or customs, so why should they be so sensitive and demanding !

What is so surprising is still millions of other nationalities not only visit Thailand, but reside therein too. This is an indisputable fact no one can deny.

Why, why, why? Somewhere, something no one has yet discovered! Even the existence of this forum!

The only reason I chose Thailand to live in is because there are no casinos. Otherwise I'd long be gone. The longer I live here the more I despise this country.

Absolute total fake patriotism. I see alot of that in the US these days too. The whole nonsense about kneeling. Standing for the pledge of allegiance in the US was an invention by the war department, to drum up patriotism, at a time when they were recruiting soldiers to fight in WWII. Now, it is being used to recruit voters. Nothing more. Nothing to it. An empty mantra.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing the flag anywhere, much less for shoes, or ankle bracelets. This is as fake, and insubstantial as it comes.

Well I saw quite a few Thai bums sitting on them...

All this publicity could be good for sales. I am going to order a pair for my daughter back home.

It's like when a Jew asked God why the Israelites are the chosen people, ''Because'', chuckled God, ''you are so funny''

Fundamentally everything you said is pretty much correct; however, fundamentalism and reality don't always follow the same path (especially in Thailand).

This is the whole point....Thais don't give a hoot about offending anyone, yet get offended about their supposed flag colours being used on shoes in a foreign country....and it may have nothing to do with their flag at all! ...at least its cheap to live here, the weather is good, and it's not a nanny state like my home lol

Now, that explains a lot! All the whineings, petty complaint and cries! Its just because they miss their nannies! Ohhh the poor cry babies...

Holy crap that's ridiculous. And if the complainers are gonna hold themselves to their own standards, they'll have to stop wearing shoes entirely, since pretty much every colour combination is represented in some country's flag.
