New Bed Mattresses

Featured Replies

I would like to buy some new bed mattresses in Phuket and not have to pay an arm and a leg for them. Can anyone advise some places to purchase bed mattresses?

thanks

It's worth looking for specials at the various larger furniture stores but they are normally reasonable quality and therefore still quite pricey.

A couple of specific recommendations are Orange Furniture on the road from Chalong Circle to Phuket Town on the left hand side where they recently had deals on lower grade Slumberland mattresses. For a wide choice from very cheap to quite expensive try Peenang. This shop is just before the Central Festival crossroads on the left if you are coming from Chalong. The names of these shops are written in Thai. There's also a shop just almost opposite called Central Furniture where they also had some good prices a short time ago.

I've wondered the same thing ..

as a retirement visa applier, 1/3 my life will soon be spent on a funky mattress

I always travel with my own pillow.

I've been using a new age 'foam' bed for 5 years now .. 8" / 25cm(?) thick dual density foam ..

dual density foam bed = 2 layers of foam, firmer on the bottom piece.

I lub it tu mutt.

these beds are available on amazon.com for under $200 & represent one of the best purchases of my life.

http://amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/103-38449...o.y=0&Go=Go

Is 'new age foam' available in LOS?

re new age foam bed: it is much more resistant to compression than the foam I had in my 1970 Dodge van

& with dual density, support is provided with a wonderful pillow top surface layer.

best bed of my life & quite inexpensive in the US.

Thanks for the info. I would love to find a Memory Foam Mattress that are the same as the Tempurpedic mattresses but much cheaper. I thought I saw a store for those kind of mattresses right next to the Home Pro pick up center. Anybody know?
