BANGKOK, 17th October 2018, (NNT) - The Prime Minister has reaffirmed that the decision to change the Thai name of the welfare card scheme is merely to eliminate social segregation, stressing that it was not politically motivated.

The comment came during a meeting with Kalasin Governor Kraisorn Kongchalad and his team on the progress of the “Kalasin Happiness Model” project. The program is one of the government’s strategies to tackle poverty and social inequality in the province.

Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha reiterated that the welfare card scheme is not an attempt by the administration to promote segregation while urging people not to politicize the matter, which could lead to conflict further down the road.

He might as well use name changes there two:

"poverty" becomes "wealth challenged"

"Social inequality" becomes "socially disabled."

Then no comparison to developed nations.

Welfare leads to Socialism leads to Fashism leads to Communism !!!

It's an old game with the same result every time.

You can go straight to authoritarianism without doing all the steps.

Some misguided souls would even say that some 'politicians' can on occasion can even leap into the terrible D...  territory with one giant leap - but thank Heavens, nobody would say that of this country!
