14 Year Old Student Ends Life by Jumping from Bridge, Farewell Note Found at Scene
A tragic incident occurred in Uthai Thani on the evening of November 22, when a 14-year-old student jumped to his death from a bridge near the Uthai Thani Municipal Market. The deceased, identified only as "Nin", left behind his school uniform, shoes, and a farewell note addressed to his family, suggesting emotional distress following a conflict with friends. At approximately 19:40, police were alerted to a student's suicide at the bridge connecting the municipal market and Wat Uposatharam. Officers found a pile of belongings, including a yellow physical education uniform, khaki school shoes, and a mobile phone. A handwritten note, though largely illegible due to rushed handwriting, appeared to contain a farewell message to Nin's father and family. Police interviewed Nin's father, Mr. Tritep 50, who revealed that Nin was one of his twin sons. According to the family, Nin had not shown signs of discord at home and maintained a calm demeanour. However, his twin brother disclosed that Nin had been upset earlier in the day, likely due to an argument with school friends. Mr. Tritep also noted unusual behaviour from Nin prior to the incident. Typically, Nin would remain in his room after school, but on this day, he left the house abruptly, heading toward the bridge just over a kilometre away. When family members arrived at the bridge shortly after noticing his absence, they found only his belongings. Rescue teams, including divers, conducted a search lasting approximately 20 minutes. Nin's body was found near the bridge's pillar, devastating his family and onlookers. His body was retrieved and handed over to relatives for religious Police are investigating two potential causes for the student's suicide: a conflict with friends or feelings of emotional distress. Neighbours and witnesses described Nin as a quiet, introverted boy who avoided interactions and possibly exhibited signs of depression. At the time of the incident, a local festival was taking place nearby, drawing a large crowd to the scene. The incident has left the community deeply saddened, highlighting the importance of mental health support for young people. Picture from responders. -- 2024-11-23 -

Thailand's Expats Urged to Register with TRD for Tax, Says Expert
It's not about who members are listening to, it's about the misinformation they are hearing repeatedly. The TRD Code syasy it is is true, law firms tell us it is true plus now, first hand reports from members confirm it's what TRD requires. Despite those things, you continue to "instruct" members to do the exact opposite, without one shred of supportive evidence to back up what you say is correct. Your rhetoric on this issue is putting people in legal jeopardy and you need to stop repeating it. -
