From the Bangkok Post:

Three Thai energy companies and a Japanese operator are teaming up to pioneer a 1.8 billion baht ($54 million) wind-power project for southern Thailand.

PTT Plc, Electricity Generating Plc (Egco) and Wind Energy Generating Co (Wegco) are to sign a deal on Feb next Monday in Bangkok with Eurus Energy Japan Corp, the largest wind-power company in Japan, which is 60 per cent owned by Tokyo Electric Company (Tepco).

According to the article the site will be somewhere between Songkhla and Nakhon Si Thammarat because this area has higher winds than in other regions of the country.
