Samui man arrested, 3 kg of “ice” seized

A man was arrested on Koh Samui Tuesday and more than 3 kg of crystal meth was seized.
 

In a joint operation of Army troops and district officials, Ekkachai Prakobwancharone, 36, was arrested at his rented room early Tuesday.

 

The authorities seized 52 grammes of the drug, popularly known as “ice” drug from the room.

 

An interrogation of the suspect led to the discovery of a further 3kg of the drug at a residence belonging to Ekkachai’s friend.

 

The suspect said he bought the drug from a friend to resell on Koh Samui.
