Where did Lazada come from in this thread? Clearly from some people who have some frustrations with Lazada, but the thread is not related to Lazada at all.

COD and who uses it.  Lazada is a large company of vendors that has COD as an option for payment 95% of the time.

@smedly Who you buy from on Lazada could a big difference of what quality you get.  I consider price vs brand vs likelihood of a fake.  For example, microSD cards. A lot of people selling those.  But when i compared the cost of what trusted vendors like Tesco, JIB, advice were selling it for, i opted to buy Samsung Evo 64GB from LazMall (Samsung official store). They had the best price anyway.

Same with iPhone.  Especially Apple products, an official store is the only way to go.

Also, you can ask a question on the listing or in chat.  Ask them if it is genuine or a copy.

Being the largest online ordering business here I would think Lazada is very relevant.

And since none of the remarks about Lazada in this thread has anything to do with cod, it is all just off topic ranting.

you must be reading a different thread, Lazada is the largest online retailer in Thailand and most of their business is COD, one of their support staff confirmed to me yesterday that they are having huge problem with issues described here

Just checked, posts 2, 4, 5, 10, etc, Lazada comments not related to cod issues. Can't be bothered to check any further, but it is not getting any better.

Neither have I had a problem with Lazada - many of the items are shipped direct from the supplier / shop and all Lazada has done is negotiate a good price and provided an online platform for them.

Same for me bought many items over the last year,TV's, garden stuff, pond stuff, car things, all at a fair price, and no need to spend hours out shopping, not, getting/finding what I wanted, never any problems, always pay for it when it arrives, as another poster said if you didn't order it, why would you pay.

Why would you pay cash on delivery for something you did not order? Dont get that part.

If package COD arrive to my GF and she is at work and package is below 1000 Baht I would pay for it, no questions asked, Over 1000 I would verify with her.

She order things online every week. many times delivery people call her and we are not at home, then she just say "Not at home, I cancel order because you did not deliver in timeframe I set".

Does BJ have a team of photographers following him around day and night? Do any other police in Thailand make arrests or is this now his exclusive domain? Is he even real, or are those police dummies now all adorned with BJ's face?

There are no press. They just take selfies then post to Twitter where the press picks up the images.

Had a terrible experience with Lazada. They sent an item other than that ordered. Took three
months to resolve the issue with them bobbing and weaving, straight arming me every step of
the way. Acknowledging my determination, they finally gave in. I vowed never to do business with
them again. I know of others who have had similar experiences with them.

Yes! They claimed to have made a refund to me after not shipping an item, but it never arrived ! Fortunately Paypal recovered it. Bunch of gangsters

COD (Cash on delivery) is actually a preferred option for a LOT of people. Why pre-pay when you can simply pay once your parcel has arrived? I don’t see the point in which someone can get scammed with COD since you always get your package upon arrival and sign the consigned paper as well. Are they missing something here?

And if there’s a problem with an item eg quality or originality, then good luck trying to get a refund after paying COD!

I had an instance where I was not happy with the product. They sent me a prepaid return label and once the package was returned I was deposited to use the money for other purchases.

Why is always Tourist Police doing non tourist work are the real police that lazy?

Tourist Police is busy with escorting dubbeldecker coaches on the highway so they can drive 120+ nonstop...Yesterday they passed us on both sides at the same time, very scary.

Authorities should look into Lazada. Something is fowl.

I saw no mention of Lazada in this story.

To me it looks like a couple of Chinese with nefarious connections got their hands on a warehouse full of cheap goods (a good deal of which are probably counterfeit) and tried to liquidate them with this scam. Nothing to do with Lazada as far as I could tell.
