Songkran Atchariyasap, a lawyer previously in the news for his outrage over displays of sexuality.

If one looks like him, a problem with all aspects of sexuality is almost certainly.

Not everyone is aware of social media and the internet, it seems.

You cannot make such stories up - Thailand's finest at it again!

This story might be racing for the top position November 2561 ????

Sometimes I wish the Thais are more intelligent.

Smiling Buffalo Seized By Police, Impounded As Evidence

By Asaree Thaitrakulpanich, Staff Reporter

Tongkum is led off the truck that brought him from Chai Nat province Tuesday and into Bangkok’s Khan Na Yao Police Station.

CHAI NAT – An impoverished farmer in the central province of Chai Nat was in tears Tuesday morning when police arrived to confiscate the beloved buffalo he’d just purchased with the help of online donors.

Surat Phaeoket had to lead Tongkum the buffalo onto a truck after the animal’s seller, a local government official, complained to police he had not wanted to sell the now-famous buffalo. Police said the farmer committed fraud by crowdfunding the money used to buy the buffalo and have frozen his accounts.

From my bamboo crystal ball I see the future...

An impoverished farmer in the central province of Cha Nat is united with his smiling buffalo and B10.000 from online donors.

Being uneducated in the subject of buffali, what makes one better than another, and what is the going price for a very loving animal, plus transport Chai Nat to Bkk.

Stupid lawfully the sale of the buffalo and the solicitation for money are 2 separate cases.

So they could put him on trial for thw donations. If he loses that then he would have to pay back the money. The sale is separate from this so he should be able to keep the buffalo until the other case is settled.

I bet the police is just helping the other guy because of his influence. What a sickening situation stuff like this makes me mad.

BANGKOK — A farmer who crowdfunded the purchase of a buffalo he had bonded with was charged Tuesday afternoon with fraud, money laundering and violating the Computer Crime Act.

After surrendering the buffalo to the police this morning, Surat Phaeoket was charged with serious crimes punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a 200,000 baht fine, one day after the official he bought the animal from accused him of defrauding donors with misleading statements.

This is pure B.D.  A man put the buffalo up for sale, thinking no one would buy it.  One man wanted it, but didn't have the asking price.  He goes online and asks for help. He gets it. Nothing illegal about that.  Buys the buffalo, then the seller says he didn't really want to sell it in the first place.

He's got clout, so poor farm boy loses buffalo, and now charged with a crime for raising money.

The one who should be charged is the Hi-So owner for false advertising the buffalo in the first place.  He get's the money, get's his buffalo back, and poor farm boy gets screwed 7 ways from Sunday, including possible b.s. "criminal charges".

The young farmer was just asking for money to buy the buffalo. The arrogant slime/ball owner is the true “water buffalo “. Throw the owner in jail for changing his mind and being %#!

Can you believe that ...?!

Proper court verdict regarding the seller should read something like > ... rectal application of a rusty well-pipe ... <

That's some weird love triangle..

He got 3000 US for a cow what's he complaining about?

He's feeling bitter, as he never noticed earlier how photogenic the buffalo was.

It would be hilarious if someone created a GoFundMe to tie Boonlert and his lawyer up in countless lawsuits.

100,000 THB ,seems to be a lot for a Buffalo, its seems the owner

just threw a price out, thinking the poorer guy,who really liked the

animal, could never come up with the money.

When he was able to obtain the money from donations, and paid

the owner the 100,000 THB, it seems like the owner is now thinking

maybe i can make more money out of this now famous Buffalo, and

wants it back !   that's what I glean from this story, but like a lot of

articles that appear on here, the facts are very fuzzy, and you are left

to make your own observations.

A greedy connected owner, poorer guy in love with a Buffalo, who

could end up in prison, only in Amazing Thailand.

It sounds like we've just found the real fraud in this situation... quick, someone suggest on social media that this guy be charged with fraud instead... ThaiPo will have to act!

Amazing how some folk just make themselves stand out even more as the jerks they really are.

What a clown !
