bannork
50 years ago he was found dead at the bottom of his own swimming pool. It was only a few days later that Jagger read out a Shelley poem in remembrance of him at the free concert in Hyde Park. And so Mick Taylor began his tenure with the band.

Bob Dylan off his '63 The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan LP. my eldest niece is named Corinna (one r, 2 ns please) after the Dylan song... when I named my boy Louie my sister asked what'd you name him that for? and I said that I wanted to name him after a song... my response made her annoyed...older brothers always do a good job of tormenting younger sisters... Back in '02 a guy purchased a warehouse full of Bill Graham's memorabilia, including concert tapes from the Fillmore venues. I remember listening to many of these concerts (not sure how many were never released prior to this) streamed on the Internet back around '06. They would put a playlist together and you could tune in. It was great. I had forgotten all about it in the ensuing years. Check it out . . . now just called Wolfgang's. I just did and they have quite a few concert listings. I'll have to spend some time there. Used to be free but now $39 per year to listen to the concerts they have. Phfftt! I dunno . . . have to check into it more. There's a download section but I'll be dam_ned sure it ain't free. I'd forgotten about this site. Thanks for jogging the memory. I can't blame an owner for making it a pay site but I'm afraid I probably won't become a paying customer as long as YouTube satisfies my musical hunger. I never even drive out the parking garage without having tunes playing from YouTube on the speakers.

Tippaporn
We never got to see the end of that Popeye vid . . . and I can't leave everyone hangin' as to Popeye's fate . . . (some might argue the appropriateness of posting this but technically it's a cartoon musical . . . very fine performances of Bluto & Popeye singing). Tippaporn
Here's an exceptional songwriter and artist who surprisingly doesn't get much air time here.
