CNX Airport early 2025
All the more reason to have stayed in the outback, and to not have chosen to move to Chiang Rai, I would say... I could live in the outback, for sure. I am NOT joking. But, for me, at my age, it's a bridge too far. Also, I prefer Thai culture, and Asian culture, and Chinese culture. Probably not too many Chinese wandering about the outback, setting up homesteads, I would imagine. -

phishing sites eta.in.th and dtv.in.th added to blacklists
A public note to the expat community in ASEAN to beware of a network of fake websites designed to look like official Thai government websites, that seek to collect your personal data. Multiple users have reported receiving email spam out of nowhere after visiting Thailand in the past few years, trying to sell them weed (cannabis) or visa services. In particular, the eta.in.th website is particularly deceiving right now as Thailand airports will begin requiring the ETA arrival card to be completed before entering the country, and this fake website is being promoted across social media and travel forums. eta.in.th dtv.in.th asq.in.th aq.in.th weed.th og.th Several of these sites have now been added to security blacklists such as the well-known Malwarebytes blacklist (currently the largest anti-malware extension for the Google Chrome browser). Please do not share or link to these websites, and do not provide your passport or other personal data to these websites.
