You know I would think you were joking, but have recently watched "Tiger King" and was amazed at how many people in the US have pet tigers/lions/cheetahs etc...

Came across a dead rat which had 100s of nasty biting red ants crawling all over it. Fortunately the last few centimetres of its tail had been eaten away, and left just the tendon, so I was able to pick it up.

 

I moved the rat about 10 metres to an area that was the stronghold of a bigger black ant. These ants are not as aggressive as the red ones, but still bite. I put the rat down, got a chair, relaxed with a beer, and waited for the carnage to begin.

 

Well!!?? I was in for a surprise? The black ants came in significant numbers and surrounded the red ants. The next thing was nothing short of an ant sexual orgy. No fighting, no biting, no war. Just basic, sexual lust. I watched the spectacle until dusk. Then I went home.

 

Gonna go have a look, in a short while, to see what has happened to the rat. I'll report back.

Spoke to guy yesterday who has a pet tiger in his house. It's massive.
