Big Joke: Forget the negativity let pretty "Nong Oi" show you the real Thailand

Spring News Network reported on the latest activities of media savvy immigration chief Surachate "Big Joke"  Hakpan. 

 

The media said that people had heard about the negative stories of the transfer of the Satun chief and his deputies for five hour delays at the southern border.

 

And stories about corruption at airports and elsewhere only added to the negativity. 

 

Now the Lieutenant General was encouraging the public to go to a revamped site on Facebook that would present a whole new image of the wonderful immigration police. 

 

Leading the way on "TravelWithImmigration" is sexy presenter "Nong Oi".

 

She appears to be one of the Lt-Gen's new sidekicks after he moved over from the tourist police to front immigration. 

 

The previous site referenced the tourist police but now immigration is enjoying the limelight under the guidance of "poster boy" Surachate.

Facebook pages in Thai.  Not aimed at foreigners but targeted at other Thais.  Keep the domestic image polished and spit-shined!  Wonder when he's running for PM?

Oy! Forget Oi. The Willow the Whist Big Joke is living up to his name. Are there any other police officers doing their job. Every time you see the news you are greeted by his fizzog. He is seen with drug smugglers, under aged? bar girls and today holding a 74-year-old' suspected rapists arm. What next? Diving off a roof to save a suicidal damsel. Give us a break BJ. I know leading by example is OK, but maybe rousting your colleagues might be better. You're denying them their photo ops.

she is nice, good choice , congrats to Big Joke!

Ok she's cute and hot...but she won't change the bad impressions or annoyance, when a chap in uniform is harassing you behind his counter at the immigration office for your extension of stay on a retirement Visa. To boost their image, they must improve and easen the red tape plus the burden on all the retirement visa requirements for instance.

 

Stop the senseless 90 day reporting.

 

Enable retirees to go to their Consulate abroad, and just get one retirement visa valid 6 months with no more hassles or requirement.

 

Stop the re-entry permit requirements.

 

Make a proper id for foreigners who stay more then 3 months that would stop requiring to haggle one's passport all around... and so on....

 

Even if the Cutie showed her knockers, it would not change anything as long as the current hassles persist on immigration regulations for foreigners in Thailand. Sorry...

When it comes to tourism you promote those favorable things you are famous for. Rio doesn't promote pizza, it promotes Carnivale dancers and beach girls.
