Are there new changes to the required documents to present first time application for the 1 year retirement extension?

I will have to apply at Pattaya Immigration for a 1 year extension of stay on my non immigrant "O" retirement based visa which will expire on January 19th . They handed over to me 2 forms (TM.7, 2) to fill in but no listing of documents to support my application. I assume I need copies of passport (information page, visa, departure card, entrance stamp), 1 photo, Rent contract, same day copy of 2 months aged bank book and the bank letter. Did I lack a document?

Completed form and 1900 baht.

Sign all copies.

Copies of bank book include, main details page with your name, 2 past months of records and final page of transactions. Ensure it has just been updated.

They might ask to see a TM30 slip.

This is partly from my list for tomorrow!

Not a requirement for an extension in Pattaya, usually only required for an OA visa in home country.

I think its maybe a requirement in Koh Samui from memory

Not needed for an extension.

My pack was accepted today although they gave me 2 extra sheets to sign. One saying if the terms of the extension change you have to inform immigration. (EG, I think, if you are on an extension based on marriage and you get divorced the extension is not valid) , another acknowledging the penalties for overstay.

As I noted earlier, I needed it for the first one and every renewal since. It just shows you how every office has their own whims!!

What you should do is make a copy of each page on your passport since after copies it is tough to see the numbers on your passport and number them small on the bottom of each page.

As noted by others pull out the ones you need once they go through your packet if the agent points to a page say make a copy I just pull it out of the leftovers instead of running outside getting one. Since each year you never know I cover all the bases.  What pages I don't use I keep for the following years!

Good luck

Went down to Jomtien immigration yesterday afternoon to do my extension, told me that they were too busy and to come back today. I informed him that I have the bank confirmation letter dated for that same day. He said that was OK and it was valid for three days!

Then gave me a list of requirements and it stated exactly that.

I think you meant to say 3 months of records.

I reckon most offices are now requiring either hand drawn or Google map showing where you live. When I did mine at Hua Hin last month, the Google map was acceptable.

The post I responded to (OP) said it was his first application.

Did you not read it?

No map requested from me today at Jomtiem, where  OP is asking of. (I took one though!)

I was asked for a bank statement as well as the bank letter and copy of the current page of the passbook.

Was not asked for a map.

This was January this year.

On Koh Samui we have to have a medical with a signed note stating  we have a clean bill of health. Property rental agreement with google map as well as drawing / route of where your property is located this is on top of bank statements and all the other useless parifinalia where the hell they keeps all this paperwork baffles me.

I printed out a Google map before hand. This was new this year.

I did a screen copy of my area, then used an editor to put a red box where my house is including a red arrowed line from the nearest highway showing how to get there. I added some landmarks. I also included the coordinates. First did that years ago and am still using the odd print off of this. Good when having something delivered!

Too much time on my hands.

it means if you apply in bangkok, only One set of copy is enough?

That is correct for Bangkok since the approving division is located in the same building. At other offices one TM7 form and etc is sent to the division headquarters over the office where you applied for the extension.

Just on the map subject. I did my first change of tourist visa to Non O for the purpose of retirement. Everything was straight forward but they would not accept anything other than a hand drawn map despite me having a very good Google map showing the route.

I duly obliged and knocked one up within a minute but with my drawing skills it looked like a <deleted> heads directions to his mate of where the nearest booze store is. Is there any logic behind this? I've lived here long enough to know that there generally isn't but I find this amusingly baffling!!
