DeadFlagBlues
Hi. I'm 47, and my erections are not what they were. I'm obviously aware of the viagra/cialis treatments, but I really want to try and reverse it somewhat. Has anybody successfully improved things by lifestyle changes, natural herbs etc? 1

simon43
Not sure why 3-2-1 should play a role... OP, I think you first need to ascertain why you have ED. It could be due to a physical problem, something psychological, your diet/lifestyle, or a combination of these. Only when you have identified the cause (or eliminated other possible causes), can you move forward with appropriate treatment. In other words, go see a dick doctor first ???? (I speak from experience of many decades of ED...)
Justgrazing
Personally speaking the first stop would be the doctors .. But if you dont want to go that route there are numerous self help things you can do that may help alleviate the condition .. Lifestyle being one .. Smoking , too much alcohol , lack of exercise and diet it is said can have an effect .. If any of the above apply I would give up tab's , booze , unhealthy-nosebag ( food ) first and get a regular exercise regime going .. If there's not much improvement after that more natural alternatives you could consider are apple cider vinegar which it is said can help improve blood flow and red ginseng is also said to be effective in some ( but I would read up on that first before taking it ) .. If you have to go down the pharmaceutical route try and get Sildenafil which is the original drug of which the rest Viagra and Cialis are copies of .. Sildenafil used to be prescription only in the U K but is now over the counter ( after the mandatory interrogation by whoever is behind the counter ) .. If you are in Thailand avoid the Viagra/Cialis offered by street sellers and in the bars etc .. Phsycological issue's are also said to effect some guys .. However there is no overnight quick fix for this and you need to have patience .. Good luck either way ..
KhunFred
47 seems awfully YOUNG to me. I never had any problems until I had radiation treatments for prostate cancer and I was 61 by that time. I started getting testosterone injections once a month and continued that regimen when I moved to Thailand, A ten month supply is about 1700 baht (testosterone ethanate) and any clinic will give you the injection in the hip for 100 baht. The treatments keep me and my fiancee quite happy. Andropause need not be a death sentence for your sex life, but you are far too young to be truly andropausal. Ask your doctor about T treatments. Good luck, sir.
sirineou
Indeed all of the above. All good advise . But first of all see a doctor, not only for the ED but to determine the cause . I an almost 62, had open heart surgery , developed an arrhythmia because of the surgery and started having ovasional problems, Urologist did some blood tests , everything was ok, and I am 5'10" and 175 lbs so wait was not the problem. We talked about nutrition and I went vegetarian (easy for me because I like vegetables) but i eat meat every once in a while as a treat. FOR ME, it has done wonders. PS: be careful with vegetables in Thailand , too many pesticides.

rak sa_ngop
May I suggest that it may be just a function of age and muscle wastage. Try practicing pelvic floor exercises (i.e pelvic-floor exercises) every day. I now have trouble sleeping at night due to nocturnal erections, so something is working for me (I also take L-Arginine for improved heart functions). Sheryl
You should indeed get a thorough check up if you have not had one recently. Diabetes and cardiovascular issues can cause ED. While you are at it get your testosterone levels checked. Some changes are to be expected as you get older so I am not really sure if what you have is really ED or just the natural changes of middle age. Anyhow if physical check up does not find any underlying diseases -- or shows only low testosterone - then a consultation with a doctor specializing in male sexual health is advisable.Sent from my SM-J701F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

Sildenafil, sold as the brand name Viagra among others, is a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction and pulmonary arterial hypertension. Sildenafil is Viagra. It is the active ingredient of Viagra. If a person is that worried about ED they should get a simple test as it might be a heart/ blood circulation problem. Cialis or its generic equivalent Acapalis has a different active ingredient, (tadalafil) is far superior to Viagara.

scoutman360
Lots of good advice here, (and the occasional laugh from the jokesters with a beer in their hands). At your age it is time to accept that things have changed. Certainly, that time is different for everyone. Sildenafil, or Sildegra, in Thailand is your answer.
