Traffic nye-ish

I was in town on a bit of business & left just after 5pm to get out.

The place was in gridlock around 2nd rd, South Pattaya Rd, Pratumnak & Thappraya Rd.

There were hordes of chinese walking into town & coaches were parked where they liked narrowing the roads even more so.

I'm in lock down mode now until the 2nd

An hour later at the North end of 2nd Road it was very, very busy.

Is this just a New Year "bump" or something more permanent?

This is every year at this time or since the great Bangkok flood when the Bangkokians actually found out this is not a bad place as they were told.  Whenever there is a holiday they clog the roads up with their cars and on top of that its high season. Its been this way for years now.  So nothing out of the normal.

Actually the chinese numbers are way down from years past as well as the russians, so it could have been worse.
