I decided to wash this Sunday. Have to do it at home though, for some reason all the car washes are closed on Sunday, which is exactly when most people have the day off and IMO want to wash the car.

It seems like its now about to make landfall near Surat Thani, south of the gulf Islands.

This will bring it a little closer to Phuket as it crosses to sea again near Kao Lak.

Having lived a few years in Darwin I will start to worry if this wee bit of a blow reaches anywhere near the strength of the legendary "Cyclone Tracy"

Winds just started to get a lot stronger a moment a go. Perhaps this is a momentary thing or maybe it's the start what is there to come.

Hooooooo doggie. Ya'll getting' ready for Pabuk? If you're not, you should. Stock up now on beer and Slim Jims. Stay safe.

Nakhon Si Thammarat was affected by the storm.

So far one dead fisherman, whose boat overturned by the waves.

Kamala Beach about 2 1/2 hours ago- swimmers in the water despite the red flags. No flags north of the cop shop though. Very light drizzle but wind picking up.

Apparently.

It's just off the coast of Kao Lak now and heading west. More rain still likely.

No doubt some will slam the authorities but I'm glad they prepared for this. it's Mother Nature and not a controllable event!
