Bruce Springsteen's Call to Action: Endorsing Harris, Criticizing Trump
Love how he had to say who he is first. And if that is a cosy New Jersey diner, I'll give them a miss. -

Huge markup on imported foods. Why?
What is Mainland? Mainland China, or something? All I know is that the Stilton I used to buy in HK came from Mainland England. -

Corruption scandal hits the brakes: Thailand’s bus industry whistleblows dirty dealings
You might be right about the danger in assumptions. 😉 However, I will assume again that no such contract exists in Thailand. I'm assuming that also, not only that, but I'm assuming that if it does exist it will be subject to a "financial determination" to be submitted in a brown envelope 🙄 -

Keir Starmer’s EU Reset: A Strategy Built on Falsehoods
A far bigger splodge of accusing Starmer of things he hasn’t done but which the previous party of power did do. If you are going to claim a sitting MP is going to call in favors with ‘the press’ then the political leanings of ‘the press’ absolutely do matter. The idea of Starmer calling in favors with ‘the press’ is risible. -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
The default is that any interest income paid on any interest bearing savings account, will be taxed at 15% at source, except: Interest on fixed deposits, which must be reclaimed via a tax return. Interest of accounts (at the banks discretion) where the account holder has registered their TIN with the bank. Deposits of pensions etc are not interest bearing or savings accounts, unless they are paid into one of those accounts and interest is actually paid, in which case, the interest is on the account, not on a particular deposit. -

Democrat regime censorship found unconstitutional
He is in favour of censorship..no ifs and buts no misquotes from the orange man bad needed, he thinks the first amendment is an impediment to his agenda and wants to remove or corrupt it it to suite only "approved" speech it's quite simple I don't understand why so many fail to comprehend the very basic principles....there cannot be a ministry of truth if/when there is then truth no longer exists...and everyones "free speech" is gone. -

Having kids when old
It's pathetic seeing some Grandad looking fool pushing around what should be his grandchild. Have kids when you are young and enjoy your latter life. -

How do you pay?
In BKK and Hua Hin most of the business & merchants including market and street shops/food are cashless since covid. Personally i pay via qr code or scan. Just ask if they have qr or scan? Surprising most do qr or scan EXCEPT: taxi, motorbike, some massage shops, toktok and small back soi vendors I pay direct from my thai bank and prompt pay. Noticed last week a lady pay the bus fare too, but I usually have some coin. Cashless is very handy too as most banks allow you to make notes/classify items bought to identify what your buying like food, supplies, desk & sofa from homepro etc. -

A ceiling fan is ideal for this as it isn't quite so local. -
