I thank all who have replied, never thought this would run so long, been a week now since i seen her,or had contact,i have barely been able to leave the house, the new drug i am taking has worked well on my depression and anxiety, best i take it before bed as it makes you dizzy and groggy in the daytime, still have dreams of her,but i know they will fade, have moved countries 3 times before,so i can do it again, somewhat reluctantly.but have reached conclusion probably for the best.

As for all the talk of sex on this thread, yes i like it,but having a companion you can share your life with is more important to me,yes i have shagged maybe 2 bar girls, but i don't really enjoy it,more about feelings for someone than the physical act, as for the houses well she can have them, knocking them down would land me in jail,i don't care about them .fortunatly i have enough to start again ,New Zealand sounds good as i spent 16 years in Aus,i would like somewhere cooler,so maybe i will go take a look at the South island,as for women i think my best option is not to get involved again.

Good luck to you!

To add my 2 cents: Why are you moving from country to country? I guess you expect it will be better in a new country, correct?

That might be true, but at the same time lots of things and lots of behavior will be different in a new country.

To take Thailand as an example: Lots of guys, including myself, did lots of things here when we arrived because we didn't know any better. We thought we understand Thailand after a few weeks only to discover soon later that we didn't really understand it and especially we didn't understand what the women think. I didn't have much money when I arrived here. In the hindsight that was good because otherwise I would have probably lost a good part of it. And "lost" in a way with stupid decisions about women, business, investments, etc.

So why don't you stay longer in one place which you know already. Then you likely/hopefully won't make the same mistakes again. If you move somewhere to a place which you don't know there are likely problems waiting for you which take some time to discover...

As others have suggested why don't you stay in the country and make it an easier transition. Just move to a different area. That way you know the rules of the land.

I'd rather do almost anything than have to have sex, boring tiring and after all done it thousands of times before. Having a good dump is far more satisfying these days

I've had a friend of mine say that. However, he did have a singularly unattractive wife who was also a lush.

Terrible, if not unfamiliar to anyone who has lived in Thailand, I think we've all known guys in a similar situation.

So I'm sure in the past 20 pages others have told you the same, but, you need to leave and leave fast.

For the money that you've spent in Thailand, thats gone but if you came to Thailand with your eyes open you already know that's like going to the casino.

More importantly in my mind at least, is getting to a place where you can regain your mental health. Sat at home, alone in a country where there is little support for mental health issues is a recipe for disaster.

If you have family back home now is the time you need them.

Get on the plane and try to stay with family for a while until mental health improved, then try to rebuild and get the future figured out

Sums up what nearly all men think and want, but sadly in reality all you can get is the sex, the feeling we want are always one sided.

Brit man,do you really think so,i am starting to feel that too,do you think it could be an evoluntinary thing like back in the stone age or before the man would go on the hunt, posssible may not come back, killed by mammoth or sabre tooth tiger or some other ghastly beast that i read about as a schoolboy.

The,woman may well have loved him,and possibly had his child, had to be flexible though,so she  hear's the news of his horrific demise, goes and sobs, possibly genuine then come's out and looks coyly at his young handsome cousin.gets a new man too look affter her, does not apply today of course but my suggestion is even though as a species we have made fantastic advances in medicene ,science, ect ect we ,our brains our stuck in a still primitive state that we have been hard wired into,is this why they are like they are[women] and we are like we are[men] my case would seem to back this up?

Gor for a woman within ten years of gour own age. Choose a 7 not a 10. Dont mention or use your wealth in the first three months. You might be surprised how happy you could be.

That doesnt apply to everyone though , your problem seems to be that no one loves you .

Why is that ?

So based on your posts in the other thread, you need to do something quickly.

Sitting at home alone, getting blind drunk, at what 5am(?) to try to drown your sorrows, then hitting the keyboard is going to solve nothing.

You've ended up in bad place, you're not the first and you won't be the last. But don't let it totally destroy your life.

Many many on here have experienced terrible relationships in their home country, but usually you are in somewhere familiar, with family and friends who get you through it.

That's where these stories in Thailand all get doubly tough, because you don't have that support that you would have had back home, and loneliness and isolation will magnify any bad feelings by 1000%

You can still get out, pick yourself up and figure it out. Go back to OZ, then when you're OK decide if NZ is the next journey for you

Yes-very sensible advice.

A lesson for us all .

Do not let people treat you with contempt and treat you like a worthless dog .

Some people have no moral boundaries and if you allow them to walk all over you, they will , not only will they walk over you, they will stamp all over you , and tread you into the ground .

Stand up for yourself , if they think that you are worthless , they will treat you like that , until you yourself also think that you are worthless  and accept being treated terribly .

Set boundaries and once they are crossed  , move on

Well that is all your mistake, a 5 million house, 1 million to repair mom house etc. Would you such thing in your own country for your girl friend and her mom????

Well she probably been looking for a richer man than you. Now do what is needed.

Exactly, if you wouldn't do that in another country why do it in Thailand? Spend money on yourself.

That's (seriously, I say this with respect) a bit like what dogs do...bang everything in heat. The OP had dreams of a happy, fulfilling and worthwhile life, making a home for his lady and her children.

A far more noble desire IMO...than banging everything in a skirt.

Same result - ended up alone except the Pattaya option would be cheaper and he had more fun. You can't buy character so buying a house/car is just a waste of money without the fun.

You think there is love here?  He tried to buy happiness. You can't buy happiness.

You seem to know everything, but i have seen some otherwise intelligent, brilliant men doing silly things for some women.

One way to explain it can be the 2 heads theory..( We have not enough blood to make them work at the same time )

..But , as many have noticed, one would not try 'to buy happiness' in their own country, so, there must be something else.

I read somewhere that hot climates tend to make people more likely to take gambles and risks.
