Im sick and bored Amuse me

This topic could be anywhere, including here, so I stuck it here...

Well Friday night I went down the the farang ghetto and had myself a tasty Steak Sandwich and some declasse Singhas at the Kiwiw, then strolled up to Themae and watched the wildlife, then up to Mixx where I pounded some drinks with one of the hottest Uzbeck girls I have ever seen, indeed one of the hottest any girls I have ever seen other than my gf.

That being said, I was starting to feel a bit off, so rather than take her home, I just went home by myself.

Got in a 4am, felt like hell, tried to sleep for a while, kept getting pain in my left arm, then nausea, then more pain and at about 8am the pressure in the chest started....

Threw on my pants, got downstairs, hailed a Taxi to Samitivej Thonburi. The taxi driver was like a race car driver getting there, good job.

By 9:30 Im in an ambulance to BNH. By 10:30 Im being scheduled for an angiogram. By 2 Im on the table, by 3 I got one and only one blockage cleared, the rest are nice and clear, by 3:10 Im back in the ICU with all of these cute nurses just hovering over me as to my every whim, including directing the nozzle into the drain so to speak. Every one in a while a different on would come by and lift up the sheet to look at my wound (hehe). An older one came by to look and as she lifted up the sheet I said, No Africa, she said Aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, Cobra!!! You not Cobra.

Got transferred back to Samitivej, again treated like a KIng, cut loose on Monday after serious negotiations with 6 girls from accounting Paeng mak, May Paeng, Discount, No, Yes! Plenty of I love yous from the staff.

So it worked out to 300K for an ER vist, two ambulance rides, 2 nights in ICU private room, EKGs, Angiograms, Angioplasties, Echo Cardiagrams, food, pee bottle, pampering, drugs, IVs, Dr fees and the like. I have insurance so I costs me like 30K. Not bad, it would be 4 times  that in the USA. I found the quality of care to be fabulous, especially because I am a big baby when it comes to needles and suchlike, so I got lots of soothing......he he

Of course, now I am clinically depressed. Im stuck at home until Monday, permitted to go out only about 100 meters. No bending, No Boom Boom for two weeks. No flying for 30 days which means Cambodia is on hold, so no weed. No more cigs. No shrimp, fried chicken, ice cream, Pizza, Taco Bell, coconut, fatty pork, crab, scallops, Coke, added sugar anything, Srai Grok, Sausages, kanoms, Pineapple pies, pringles, Burgers, butter, cheese, eggs, etc until I lose 17 kilos (14 to go). No heavy lifting, no photography, just chill until Monday, EATING OATMEAL!

And boys?....where is the action here? All I see is the usual Trump whinging, where are the fun stories of cab ripoffs and MC driver attacks and Thai girls with scissors having fun with their wayward husbands? I need to be amused! I can only read the same old same old a few times and the movies are boring. Anything! Unusual feet, warts on noses, Phis invading the government, snakes up the butt.

Im waiting! Come on, where are the incipient Oscar Wildes?

by the way, what kind of pain killers are you on? i keep hearing how horrible Thai hospitals are at pain management.

Had mine 9 years ago, back in the UK. Just swam my usual 1k in the pool on a Sunday morning. Walking back to my car with my wife and bang! completely floored. Ambulance arrived and loaded me in the back, as soon as I laid down all the lights went out. Saw a guy on a horse rearing up on it's hind legs, everything was black apart from the guy and the horse, which were electric blue.

"Screw this!" I thought to myself and started to fight. Next thing I was back in the ambulance. My wife (a nurse) tells me that I died and they gave me the paddles 3 times with no result. She begged them to give it another go, they did and I came round. Took me to the local hospital but didn't do stents there. Nearest hospital was 35 miles away and the cardiologist was on the golf course and refused to accept me.

Whilst I was laid there waiting, I went again. Paddles again and back in the room. Went a third time but not properly, I felt the paddles and the shock. Sat bolt upright, grabbed the doctor by the throat and shouted, "What the **** are you doing!". They called the other hospital and got me in. Had a stent fitted, back to the ward and asked for my clothes as I felt fine and wanted to go home. They insisted that I stay 3 days so I compromised with a BLT and a can of Coke.

Actually stayed 2 days and discharged myself.

Took it easy and eventually got into the gym. became a complete gym junkie, 4 hours per day, 6 days per week. Got back to my fighting weight and never felt fitter.

Take a boxful of tablets every day but no more problems.....except for the cancer but that's another story.

In the ER, beleive it or not, they gave me Morphine as thats the indicated pain killer for Angina/Infarct pain. After the procedure, it was Norgesic. They sent me home with none, although I did get some Lorezepam for sleep.

Not true. I had prostate cancer. 18 months of hormone therapy and 4 weeks of radiotherapy in the middle of it. No boom boom for 2 1/2 years, then back on the horse. Got to the point that my wife couldn't keep up. Came to S,E. Asia to empty my sack. Got home after a month, my wife looked at me and said, "You've been with another woman!" I readily admitted it and she asked "How many?". "17 on 23 nights" I replied. She looked at me and said one word "Divorce". Result! The rest is history, now live in Thailand full time and fill my boots daily.

Prostate cancer doesn't have to be the end of things, it can be the beginning.

Yep. LAD, Left Anterior Descending artery. Known as the Widowmaker as it's particularly common in men and only 50% survive it.

I've broken out my black clothes, just in case.

I hesitate to offer this up, because it may cause a relapse. However, ...... have you considered taking up golf? It's the only form of exercise recommended by the medical profession for cardiac patients. Think of all the fresh oxygen you'll be breathing in as you stroll down the tree-lined fairways. And as a bonus... drum roll... there are some very cute caddies and lady golfers you can meet.

Exercise? Really? The only golfers I see in Pattaya are heavy breathing blimps.

My physio designed a cardio regime, for me, in the gym.

Dude that was mine!  90% blockage!

Yeah, this sounds like a very good approach. Very close to my eating habits, if you don't count the occasional spliff or a lonely shrimp.

It really does wonders to your body, mind, soul (if you still believe you've got one) etc. And boom boom gets so much better after you get lithe, fit and generally cleansed (at least that's what they tell me - so far never haven't been lithe, fit or relatively cleansed). ????

Now, maybe it is a good moment to rethink one's lifestyle.

I like it when the cute caddies play with my balls I mean Titleists....sure makes my Putter stand up....

No offense to golfers but I hate golf...I find it to be as exciting as using a dental mirror to watch my ear wax harden
