Peel the banana and put it in the freezer then you do not need so much ice and the frozen banana makes it very creamy.

I use a little honey as sweetener rather than sugar if required.

Banana and coconut are lovely.

Freezing the banana enhances and makes it taste sweeter.

One of my favourite recipes is 1 frozen banana, a handful of frozen blueberries (or similar), 1 cup of rice milk. Blend and enjoy. It takes less than a minute and makes a great breakfast or snack.

2 add-ons:

The milk should always be from a can of Carnation Evaporated Milk (as for Liquados in Mexico)

I like to add the Ovaltine (or Horlick's) white malt low-fat version (some sugar but not too sweet)

Thanks everyone!

I am waiting for peaches to come into season here in the USA. I once tasted a Peach and Pineapple fruit shake and it was AWESOME! I am sitting on pins and needles waiting for fresh peaches to make this drink myself!

You are right .Thais use Evaporated Milk in fruit shake.

Banana nad peach are in Group2

Anyway,It depends on you,if you like creamy and richy taste so, add Evaporated Milk ,whipping cream or yoghurt. You can mix more than one kind of fruit as

1)pineapple+coconut juice and its meat .It's so-called pina colada.

2)tomato+celery =so-called bloody marry

3)water melon+ginger+lime =so-called sex up

4)carrot+apple+ginger+lime/lemon juice+honey = sexy horny playboy(eheheh ....my own recipe)

all are up to your imagination.

Using frozen fruits instead ice is good idea.

I have three that I make frequently. Banana, pineapple and watermelon. I make all three the same way. I fill the blender about half full of of chilled fruit, add about half a small box of the Danish UHT sweetened milk and then the ice. I run the blender at high speed until it looks like the mixture is smooth and creamy. It's GREAT!

Try this one, I call it a frappe. Chilled banana (refrigerate for a few hours) and chilled goats yoghurt whizzed up in the blender, drink straight away, the taste is unreal!!! Do not add anything else.
