Central Pattana Public Company Limited (CPN), a retail property developer, and Right Man Limited, a specialist in designing theme parks, announced the launch of Tribhum: the Mystical Three Worlds, with what it says is the world’s first walk-through 3D adventurous theme park on February 1 in central Phuket.

Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana of CPN says the company has transformed a 10,000-sqm site at the Floresta building into a theme park with a 3D walkthrough.

"Our main target visitors include 70 per cent foreign tourists and 30 per cent Thai and expats. It is expected that the theme park will be able to draw more than 1 million visitors in the first year,” said Nattakit.

Who will pay more because they are not Thai.

On the other hand, the advertising for Taiwan looked really good on the Nation's web page and there is no two tier pricing there.

Theme parks are a hard business.  Look at Genting, and their billion dollar lawsuit .   Good luck

Ha ha ha. I was in the new central two days ago. What a dismal place.

They may attract 140 cat sized rats, but it was empty.

Another ghost story from people with more money than brains.

The place looks like a mall cemetry.

Bye never again.

PS what visitors are they targeting, the blind and the .....oh never mind.

Ha Ha Ha, I laugh at people who accuse the Central group of having no business sense.

In the mornings. the place is quiet, but afternoons get much more busy there. And the new food court is pretty well done, and lots of luxury shops and although I personally don't like them so much, there are enough people in Phuket with spending power,  the Central Group know pretty well what they are doing.

To each their own.

I hate crowded shopping centers! No seats available in food halls, long waits for service, millions of smelly, screaming brats getting underfoot, no parking.

Give me a mall cemetery (?) any day. Hassel free shopping.

I go for the explanation that they are all Money Laundering mechanisms the rents probably fixed according to foot fall in the mall, but anyway enough for the Central accountants.
