it'll give the heebie jeebies to many incumbent monks!

many join monkhoods as their way of avoiding army duty,

and to now have soldiers merged amongst them, sort of defeats their intended modus...

if the soldier can be a monk, then why not that monk can be morhed into a soldier

The man had an idea.

It was stupid, unfeasible, impractical, unethical, half-baked and spur-of-the-moment..., but it was an idea. That means there is a spark still in that atrophied brain. Now, it needs encouragement, space to grow and a hug. But not from me.

That spark needs to be appropriate - warm a home with a fire or burn down the house?

Apirat seems to prefer the latter.

which we painfully see far too often in our current ruling class

Mouth bigger than brain. talking parts larger than thinking parts, and more active. Sometimes they seem unconnected.

I've commented on the mechanism for modifying impulses and 'bright ideas' that aren't very bright before. Same same.

The royal armed monks Vs the holy warriors of Islam.

Religion has lost the plot, me thinks. If in fact it ever had it.

As long as religions have existed they've been offing each other. The clergy headmen don't like competition.
