webfact Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Two men killed as truck crashes into SUV By The Nation A Thai man and a Chinese man, who had pulled over to the side of a road in Pathum Thani province early on Sunday to attend to a call of nature and were returning to their Toyota Fortuner, were killed when a trailer truck crashed into their SUV. The 24-year-old Pornnupol Pimngam and the 31-year-old Chinese man Wan Chang Chen were instantly killed a little after midnight on Bang Khan-Nong Sua Road in Khlong Luang district, Pol Lt-Colonel Sunthorn Rattanaporn of the Khlong 5 Police Station said. The driver of the 22-wheel trailer truck, Krissana Mahasamut, 29, who waited for police at the scene, said he was driving from Pathum Thani’s Sam Khok district to deliver gas to a gas station in Khlong Luang when he dozed off behind the wheel and crashed into the pulled-over SUV. A grief-stricken relative of the deceased victim punched Krissana on the face, prompting police to intervene. The relative was charged with assault. An eyewitness and one of the six SUV passengers said that the group was returning from a party in the Talad Thai area and heading home to Bangkok’s Yaowarat when his employee and his son-in-law pulled over to answer the call of nature. There seems to be something wrong here, when the usual story about a driver not paying attention and killing two people, is protected by the police, I'm assuming it wasn't Prayut doing the punching in the face. 1

Popular Post richard_smith237 Posted February 4, 2019 Popular Post Posted February 4, 2019 ....no attempts at a ridiculous and insulting excuses such as brake failure... it all seems quite honest, and no attempt to flee... Props to the driver for remaining honest, if only he'd pulled over for some rest... But.. how does the reporter know the deceased had stopped to answer a call of nature? 3 1
mok199 Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Wow ..lifes Lottery ,..only in Thailand your odds are greater....

Must have used a mobile DNA tester to check deposits found near the car. Or perhaps one of them had given a running commentary to relatives over the phone.
shady86 Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 At least the truck driver was brave enough to admit he dozed off and not blaming brake failure. 2

Maybe because there were 6 people in the SUV and they gave their statements. Only 2 were killed. 2

cardinalblue Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Should he be held accountable for his poor decision making?

Has the article been edited??? I didn't read that first time around, but re-reading the webfact post today the information is there, clear as day.... .....or perhaps just a school boy error but I'm not used to missing such obvious information and making myself look so daft...

I commented at 4am... I suspect the article was edited after 6am to highlight 6ppl in the Car .... its too much of an obvious fact and quite clear in the article to be overlooked.... Mods???? am I going crazy ??? are Webfact news articles edited to reflect updated or clarify data? 1

Odd that you decided that the "edit" must have been so specifically "after 6am", why 6am? ".... its too much of an obvious fact and quite clear in the article to be overlooked.…" Exactly.
