Driving round on my Harley shouting 'Slava Ukraini' to passers by..
it's a new past-time of mine, when ever i see what looks like a russian group I shout 'slava ukrain'i at them at the top of my lungs when I drive past. they need to know the error of their ways and hopefully one or 2 ruskies will finally start to see the light. rgerads, Colin. -

Thailand vs Panama. Decisions Decisions!
For the OP, I recommend you go for a reconnaissance trip for a month or 2, to see if you like it. We can speculate if it is better, but it comes down to what you want and your most important critical success factors for a permanent move. Try it, it doesn't have to be a one way ticket. If you don't completely trust your friend, do some research on youtube. I've been to Panama numerous times and considered retiring there. Places and environments change over time but I can say it was a pleasant experience. For me, I just like the abundance slim build friendly Thai ladies better. The chicas tend to get heavier as they age. Also, you can pop up to Costa Rica or down to Columbia for some variety. Costa Rica is getting expensive! -

Easy to say in hindsight but what 19-20 year old would ever worry about a shot being given in a bar by a bartender? Sadly in this case a 28 year old British lawyer also took the deadly shots, so seemingly not a concern to a highly educated person? I for one am 59 and have travelled extensively around the World. If I'm offered a shot in a bar that's in party mode I wouldn't have thought twice about it (until this incident highlighted it to the World) -

Introduction to Personal Income Tax in Thailand
I should have been a little more specific: What are your thoughts on the meaning of "derived in the previous tax year" as stated in the Royal Decre as it pertains to LTR visa holders? Not anything to do with Dec 31, 2023? In other words, can LTR visa holder's assessable income derived in 2024 be remitted in 2024 and still be tax exempt, or should we wait until 2025 to remit the income derived in 2024 for it to be tax exempt?
