Hello,

My mum's over from the UK with her partner at the moment and they're both avid jive and cha cha cha dancers. They were really hoping to find a nice hotel or restaurant where they could have dinner and a little dance afterwards!

Has anyone had any good experiences or places they could recommend in Bangkok?

There is a Latin Club on one the even number Sukhumvit sois (can't recall which one), before Asok, that is suppose to pretty good. Somewhat of a seedy looking place, but as I said, reports are it is authentic. you can see it from Sukhumvit.

Try the Brazilian Restaurant (Fo-Go-Vio is what I think it's called) on the ground floor of the Hotel next to the Gaysorn Mall on Suk. They have a pretty popular after-dinner Latin dance thing going on a couple of times each week. Even if Latin ain't your Mum's bag, she'll probably be able to get info on other dance venues from the regulars there. (Food's good to!)
